So it's been shown that DDR4-2666 or better is a good idea for gaming. What about compilation? Specifically Gentoo Linux. Would RAM speed/timings be as crucial (hur hur) for compilation as for gaming?

I'd love to see some real testing done on this subject. So far results are controversial at best.So it's been shown that DDR4-2666 or better is a good idea for gaming.
