RAM problem with Compaq Presario V2000

I have a Compaq Presario V2000 and it works great. The only problem I have with it is the memory. The laptop comes with 512mb of ram, but when I right click on "My Computer" and view the properites, under the computer specs it says only 384 mb of ram. I know that it is not supposed to say 512 exactly, but I was expecting it to say 480ish or a number around there. I know that there is nothing wrong with the memory because I swapped it out and used it on another laptop and it worked fine. It'll only read low on my computer. Any ideas on how to fix this?

lol . You don't need to worry about it misterbossplaya, the missing 128 mb of ram was shared to video. So which means...your intergrated video is using that missing ram as we speak to power the graphics....

wish my notebook share 128mb like urs.
mines upto 128mb but only share 35mb in game

oh, duh, now i feel stupid. Thank you! By the way, not to promot laptops, but this Compaq V2000 works great. Anyone interested in buying a laptop should consider it
