RAM Problem with Abit VT6X4

Hope someone can help. I have an Abit VT6X4. I have 128 Mb of RAM in it (133MHZ). I just purchased a 256 MB Dimm 133mhz. The machine locks up often with this new RAM. Norton System Works also gives a socket error.

I tried the memory by itself in the box. No luck.

I took it back to the guy I got it from and he swapped it out for me for a new DIMM. Still no luck. The system recognizes it, but the system hangs a lot and Norton lists the error.

Anyone know of memory that works specifically well for this board?

I have the same m.b and I'm using 3 sticks of Kingmax tiny bga PC133mhz at 128 megs a stick.
