ram prob. Help!!

k, hopefully someone can help me here.

I have the following system
Duron 600@ 850
Asus A7V with 1004c bios
192 mb Crucial Pc 133 cl2 ram
win 98 se
soundblaster live
I originally had just one stick of memory in 128MB, and i could raise my FSB up to 110 (memory at 146 or so) with
no problems. I ordered another 64mb from crucial, and had all kinds of lockups, win protection errors, random
hangs, ect. When i drop the buss to 95*4/3 for the ram, it works flawlessly, i have sent the chip back and recieved
another, same prob.
I have increased voltages, tested each ram individually, tried different bios, but can't get 133 with both chips in.
Anyone have any ideas/similar problems??

yep I have the same problem with mine
I got 1 128mb micron and 1 256mb Texas Instraments

I can run each one alone just fine but if I put them both in I get errors, so I just put the 128mb stick on the shelf, saving it for later I guess?

Ive been playing with different settings (cas2 vs. cas3) interleave, and stuff, nothing made a difference. Then i switched sockets, now i can go into windows, and run word, or excell, but the second something demanding like a game starts, poof it goes to hell.

i have never used the a7v before, but if you have the option to increace read latch on the dram in advanced chipset fetures try that. also try lowering your bank interleave seting.
