Is it just me or have RAM prices gone up $50-100 for 2 GB? Does anyone know why the prices of RAM have gone up so much? 2 months ago I got 2 GB Corsair DDR2-800 for $219 and now the prices are around $300.
 
They have just shot up over the past few weeks. It's due to the holiday season and hopefully by Jan/Feb the prices will fall back to what they were just a few months ago. This ALWAYS happens and has been happening since I first entered the enthusiast scene which was back in the 90s.

So if one were planning on building a new rig soon within the next month, it would be better off to either go with used hardware (FS/FT) or wait?
