RAM PRICES ARE GOING UP!!!!!

I know a guy who buys for a computer company and he says prices are going to go up. If you have been waiting to get the lowest price do it NOW!

Hey Snoop, Win95 actually runs on that rig of yours (I know that CAN'T be your real rig... can it?)

I remember two summers ago after the earthquake in Taiwon ram prices more than tripled in just a couple of days, may happen again.

dickburs,

I don't think that's true....I work for mem manufacturer and no price increase as of yet...when i do see them go up...gonna buy me a few extra 256 sticks to hold...

I don't know. I read the article and it says that Micron lowers its prices to settle its accounts and its fiscal year ends in FEBRUARY. Could be time for Micron to start making money again.

Doh!, I guess I was wrong!
Spook, I just looked at Pricewatch too. 256 MB just went from 42 to 51!!

Ram will go up and down.. Like it went up a lot? At least its not 1996 when I purchased 8 MB for 350$ !!!!!!!!! And I was in high school so 350$ was a ton of cash for me. 256 MB for 50$ is still a hell of a deal. Recognize that.

Oh, man :Q I want some more RAM, but I was hoping that it would fall some more. I guess I should buy some Crucial 256MB while the price is still "cheap".

Oh, oh. I have 1 X 256MB Mushkin Rev.2 (Infineon) but Crucial is way cheaper right now.

Anyone know whether I might have problems mixing 2 x 256MB modules, one Mushkin + one Crucial? Or should I just try to get more Infineon with same chips (HYB39S128800CT-7.5)?

Thanks.
