Ram placement question

Hey, I have two 256 sticks and one 512 stick.

I have, unfortunatly, a soyo dragon plus 2 motherboard.

I'm running pc2700 stuff, just because I don't need more due to the processor I have.

How should I throw this ram in? the two 256's first then the 512? I'm not sure if the 256's can do dual channel...

Any more info needed?

how does it matter which do you insert first, I would suggest going for 2 X 512 for Amd or 4 X 256 maybe for intel, ley others come up and confirm or explain this

throw in the 2x256 and put them on dual channel (on your MBO you have a dual channel option) put the 512 then...as the matter of fact you don't have any order of putting a rams on your MBO...simply thing.

My motherboard does support dual channel. Which is the 1st slot in each pair of slots. So, the 256, then the 512, then another 256?

Easy, try it. Turn it on. What does the power on self test say?

I'm not sure about the extra 512 stick unfortunately. You won't hurt anything by trying, you'll just get a friendly beep.

Good luck!
