I have a friend who recently put together an AMD Athlon 2500 Mobile (oc'd to 2.4Ghz). He has pretty decent parts (ABit NF7-S mobo and an Antec Truepower PSU). All in all a good foundation. As we were talking today he was wondering though, what to upgrade first.
He has Kingston VR 512Mb (single stick) and a GeForce 4 Ti4200 (8x, 128MB). My thoughts were on the RAM, bump it to 1Gig, but he seems to be pretty set on buying a better graphics card. Gaming will be his primary use of this system (though it should be writing school papers

Thoughts? He is on a very limited budget, so bang for buck is important. That is why his system is what it is today: a great foundation for an awesome system, just a few pounds short
