RAM on mobo

If the spec for a mobo says it supports DDR2 800 memory, does that mean it's backwards compatible with all the DDR2 ram slower then that (ex. 667, etc)?

Yes. I assume you're looking at a Core 2 Duo LGA-775 motherboard? Most will run DDR2-533/667/800/1066 but don't list 1066 as it is not a JEDEC certified standard yet.

I was actually looking at an AMD Athlon 64 X2 board, but the amd and intel boards all list the same DDR2 800 for ram on their mobos. Thanks!
