Okay, I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227211 (OCZ)
and well, I just tried to overclock it on my Soltek k8t800 Pro mobo to 2-2-2-5-T1 219mhz, which was suggested to me somewhere else, I also bumped the voltage to 2.8V(max)....System booted fine. Now when I got to Battlefield 2 to test it out, about half way through loading the map my computer rebooted....I instantly set the timings back to normal, because I really know nothing about this, except lower is better. Also that somebody else did it, and it worked...and default is pretty high. Any suggestions? advice? thanks.

Umm.. how do you know if it's your RAM? You need to be more specific.

trial and error, try running at 210 with those timings, could be you might be pushing your RAM too hard with those timings that tight at 219.

I really doubt you will be able to OC that ram very far with tight timings and only 2.8v the Gold does pretty good with 3.2v - 3.5v You may still be able to get a good OC out of them if you relax the timings some try 2-3-2-6-1T. I have my Gold running at 232mhz with 3.4v and had to back the timing down to 2.5-3-2-6-1T to get there. Others have their Gold up to 240 and higher with 2-2-2-5-1T and 3.2v
D/L Memtest86 and experiment a little, once you have the mem stable with memtest try Prime95 and OCCT or some others
