I bought an iPad ram mount. Biggest impulse bye ever. I never got around to buying a bike and who uses an iPad on a bike

People do and I have. Makes a great maps/GPS/ route planning device. Need to have the right bike for it.

By the way...That X mount works great, but you still need to have a safety tether for the phone/device as they have been known to bounce out of them.

What I did with mine was to go to home depot or lowes and get all weather industrial velcro. I cut the velcro to fit the round center of the x mount and put the other piece on the back of the phone case.

Velcro will not stick to a silicone phone case by the way. I use a plastic case as well a weather proof lifeproof iPhone case...Depends on the outlook for the day which one I use more... When I'm touring for a week or two at a time, I always use the waterproof case... Velcro stuck to that perfectly.
