RAM Latency Question

I am getting ready to order components to put the following rig together:
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe, Athlon XP2800+, Western Dig 120GB SATA hard drive.
I want 2 sticks of 256 MB PC3200 DDR DIMM Memory. Something good but cheap.
I am open to suggestions. My question is: I notice that the price for a CL 2 or CL2.5
jumps considerably over a CL3. I probalby wont OC. Is the faster latency worth all of the extra bucks?
 
IT depends on what your going to use your PC for but yes low latency does have a great impact on performance
 
The Tomshardware review says the latency difference is quite negligible. Even if many latencies are changed, the performance delta is still like under 5%.
