RAM is causing system to restart

My brother just got some new RAM (128PC100) and whenever he uses his computer it will automatically restart at random times. He is running Win2k and also has an additional 32MB PC100 alongside the 128.

anyone know what to do?

I dont know if this will fix it but worth a try

Make sure the 128mb ram in in the 1st dimm slot
Then the 32mb ram in the 2nd dimm slot

Possibly a stupid question, but could it be the 32? Have you tried without the 32? Mabye they are not getting along.
