RAM Experts, break this down for me

What do the following RAM attributes mean?

Non-parity vs ECC
32Meg x 64 vs 32Meg X 72

I've found a good deal on RAM and I need to make a decision.

You do not want ECC.

It's not necessary in most computers, it's a bit slower, usually more expensive and then all your RAM has to be ECC.

Just get the regular 32Mx64 stuff.

First of all, evaluate whether or not your motherboard/system can accept ECC. Then, weigh the costs.

If purchasing new, then stay with standard SDRAM.

I know that even though ECC SDRAM costs more than standard SDRAM if purchased new; used ECC is usually a different story. In my experience, used ECC costs less because of the lesser demand.
