RAM Compatibility

I bought a new board GA-EP35C-DS3R and a Corsair CM2x1024-6400 2GB kit. I noticed that this RAM does not appear in the "Compatible Memory" list on Gigabyte's site, but the 6400C4/6400C4 Pro do.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I did some searching and only diffference that I could sum up between the two is that mine has 5-5-5-12 timings but the C4s have 4-4-4-12 instead.

Specifics:
CM2x1024-6400
5-5-5-12
Ver 5.2

From reviews I've read GB's mobos have a reputation to be picky on the memory. Where I live its pretty difficult and expensive to get performance RAMs. This Corsair was the only "performance" one I could afford and it costs me $160. HyperX and the DHX models costs $200 and $250 respectively. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Owners of this board, please give your views and experiences too.

Thanks in advance!

Electrical specification? As in voltage? Its 1.9V, unless its another thing you are talking about. Please feel free to ask.

I have the orginal P35C-DSR, which handles GSKILL F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ in 8GB well by default.

Hmm I cant find your RAM too on GB's list (or I'm just too sleepy) so Im guessing its a good thing. Ive read on Newegg that it fried 2 brand two XMS2s, can anyone verify this?
