My system has two RD RAM chips and would like to add 1 extra DDR RAM. (It has 4 slots and two are free)

Could some one tell me if i can do that or not ?

Thanks

Nope. You can't do it.

You most certainly cannot use DDR in an RD-only board, not to mention RDRAM's expensive and must be installed in pairs, IIRC.

If their is RDRam on the board, it is RDRam only.

Time for a new motherboard and ram? Yes!

Yeah, actually--I know there were some boards for other platforms that were odd SDRAM/DDR hybrids with 2 sets of RAM slots, but I didn't think about the lack of chipset support for an RDRAM/DDR implementation.
