RAM checker?

Is there a program that I can run to determine if a stick of RAM is bad or not? I have 2 512MB sticks of Mushkin PC2100 in a box that is acting pretty odd. I would like to test the memory as everything else seems to be OK. It is RAM or the mobo. The thing acts like it got struck by lightning.

Thanks!

If it shows that it's there on the memory test in the POST, you're good to go. As for a program, good luck. There are a few, but they don't actually test them very well. You could always check your local PC store, and see if they have a memory check machine. I kinda doubt it though.

the system memory test durring post isnt very thorough, and often times faulty ram will pass the post test just fine....

as was said above, memtest86 is a great program for checking ram. if it can run 30 or so passes without any errors then you know your whole memory subsystem is in great shape.
