What is the diference between clasical Ram memory(sdram), and Ram bus?

Rambus is faster, but hideously expensive, not used anymore, and I believe had to be run in pairs. If you're looking for something more technical I'm sure someone will come along soon for that.

Yes I remember that they were used few years back, and were used in pairs... I was wondering what the technical diferences are in them.. I heard some stuff about rambus being able to hold the information diferently and such.
if someone could explain the whole system of holding information in ram I'd be glad

Wouldn't that be was? RAMBUS just isn't around much any more; it's hard to find anywhere to upgrade an old system, and when you do find some, the capacities are extremely limited and the cost is high enough that one could almost purchase a new budget CPU, mainboard, and equivalent amount of DDR memory for the same price. It is an interesting technology, though, if only the company behind it wasn't such a PITA.
