that made me a saaaaaaad panda 🙁 It's a shame to see such beautiful cars being wrecked like that, but at least they're in their natural environment when they do get wrecked 😉

This is what nascar should be. Rally drivers are nuts. They will run these cars into the ground. I tire blows and they just keep on going. There's one vid of a impreza that the rim shattered off of the hub and the driver is still going.

I wish all Nascar races were on road courses rather than the "tri-oval". Something about turning left for hundreds of laps just doesn't appeal to me like autocross does 😉

Cool video, though I literally have a hard time imagining anything more annoying than that music.

I remember reading a few years ago about an incident in which Ford rally team mechanics were going over the car after a stage, and found a fan's finger wedged under the rear wing! Those European rally fans get incredibly close to the cars during stages.

Jesus...those drivers may be nuts but the fans are even crazier... Standing at the side of dirt roads while cars wizz by sometimes out of control... Some people must have a death wish.

 

That car that burst into flames was insane...the fans were just standing right next to it even as it was smoking and probably making some hideous noises.
