Raising fsb past 220 on an abit nf7-s

It seems that I can't raise my FSB past 220 when I am seeing people with the exact same processor boasting speeds like 280x9 (don't remember specifics but bear with me).

Everytime I raise my fsb above 220, my bios alarm goes off. And I read this entire article about this guy who got his 2400+m up to 2.9ghrz ( 😱 ) but he started out with 2.4 ghrz at like 230x10 or something to that affect.

So how would I go about raising my fsb higher? Or is it an impossibility?

Abit nf7-s with tictac beta king bios
athlon 2400+ (220x11)
Kingston Hyper-X pc3200

btw, the people getting it up past 220fsb were people with the same ram as me

hmm...

you may need a vdd mod + vtt mod + vdimm mod to get above 220 mhz... + the right beta bios...

the abit nf7-s isn't known for hitting high fsb's...

the best board for high fsb's on the nforce2 chipset is the dfi infinty/lanparty which can hit past 250 mhz

so yeah...

i cant hit past about 204 on my nf7-s with D25 merlin, so feel lucky that you can hit 220. try increasing the voltage to the chipset, that may help.

Mine wouldn't do 210 fsb with the Abit bios, but Merlin's got me up to 240 fsb. I would definitely try a beta bios before resulting to modding your board, but YMMV.
