RainX (or something similar) was on my windshield when I got the car, and when I discovered it, I put some more on, and it came off when I had to use my wipers at low speed.. no streaks.

Actually I think that's the problem with my windshield right now... I used rainx once or twice 2 years ago but stopped... now I have these strange water spot looking things on my windows and some spots streak every time the wiper goes over them... makes morning dew a pain. You can fix it without replacing the glass though - I'm going to do it myself at the end of the week. Zaino glass polish didn't fix it so it's time to move up to Naptha (lighter fluid). Hopefully the glass will be sparkling clean when I get done. Along with the rest of my freshly zainoed car. ;)

Time for me to practice what I preach again... ever since I moved and don't have an outside faucet at my new house I kinda got lazy... time to get back into it and make my car the cleanest/best looking on the road again. :p

Try some 409 to remove rainx. Just be careful not to put to spray it on the body of the car.
