Hey... I notice that John Clark and Ding Chavez appears in more than one book... did Clancy write a series on them or something? I want all the books... help me build my collection!

They make appearances in quite a few, you should read all of them.

His new stuff though is garbage, Rainbow Six & Teeth of the Tiger both really sucked.

John Clark and Ding Chavez played a big part in Clear and Present Danger (first book Chavez appeared in). They also showed up in Executive Orders at the very end, but it was a small part.

Without Remorse is an entire book about John Clark and a great read.

I don't understand all the Rainbox Six hate - I thought it was a good book. Seems like a lot of people hate it though.
 
Clark is in a good number of the Jack Ryan books. Ding's first appearance was in Clear & Present Danger if I remember correctly.

I don't remember Clark's first appearance. I do remember that Without Remorse is all about Clark.
