Rainbow Six Vegas 2 PC - $7.89 Shipped

Thanks, is this even worth it? I've heard not good things. Any input?

Awful console port. I can say that I did get at least $8 of enjoyment out of it though.

The single player is decent and worth $10 easily. The game really shines in co-op, being able to do both the campaign and the terrorist hunt missions co-op is awesome and a total blast. I have never had a game work so flawlessly when it comes to network connection, never had an issue setting up or joining a LAN game and the connection is quick.

There are some bugs, I get occasional crashes on my XP box but the copies running on Vista 64 and Vista 32 don't seem to have any problems at all. I highly reccomend it for this price. Don't forget to add one of the $2 optical mice as it only adds another 30 cents in shipping. Never hurts to have an extra mouse lying around!

Nice, I was already planning to get the new World In Conflict Soviet Assault expansion. Was waiting on the 48 hour madness sale to see if there were any good throw-ins and this certainly fits that bill. 🙂

Ok, apparently I'm retarded... do you have a link to the Soviet Assault expansion? I can find the "complete edition" that includes it but not the game itself. I loved WiC and completly forgot about the expansion, I can't wait to get it.

Is the single player gameplay like the earlier rainbow six games? I don't really care for the (Go here - Do that - Put on your kevlar you doofus) squad based games.

The game is definitly linear, there is almost no ability to deviate from the set path except to approach a room from a different hallway. I did not find the directions given to be overbearing since they where via radio from your support and not blinking text or something like that. As it is very consolized there is the indicator that pops up when you can open a door, rapel down the side of a building etc... but thats not too bad.

thats what I liked . I just made cpu partners to sit back and played through the whole game as in cs1.6 style by myself. much more satisfying that way for me.

and terrorist hunt is really fun.
