Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield -- VERY worth your time!!

I saw a review of the game the other day and it looked great but the main thing I noticed was the fact that it showed you holding a weapon. I have GR and that was one thing I did not like(not seeing the weapon in your hand). Is this new for Raven shield or is there a toggle I don't know about? Only reason I ask is that I have not seen anyone mention it.
 
D/L the single player demo, played it for a while, didn't really like, uninstalled it. Now im back on BF1942😀esert Storm.

There is a toggle to turn the FPWV off in RvS. I prefer the no weapon view of R6/RS and GR to the bit better than rambo view of RvS. Even though it can be turned off, it is one of the reasons why I won't get the game to keep my R6 series of games up to date. Ubi messed up a good game franchise IMO and other agree with me.
 
Hey WhiteKnight77, I may not have gotten my question right. I like the Weapon view, so is there a way to turn it ON in GR and the other games as well?

No, there is not.

Even though it can be turned off, it is one of the reasons why I won't get the game to keep my R6 series of games up to date. Ubi messed up a good game franchise IMO and other agree with me.

Ummm....if you can turn it off what difference does it make? Its not like it actually changes gameplay or anything anyways.
 
There are other reasons why I don't like RvS. Part has to do with the animations and other has to do with not being able to start a game without logging onto Ubi.com to play. With the RSE versions of R6/RS (and GR too) all I had to do was go to the MP menu and click Create Game and then give everyone my IP. So far no one has been able to show me a way how to do that and the demo couldn't even show me my external IP. My dislikes are well known at Aggression where I am even on staff and have plainly made it known my dislike and I am not the only one who feels the way I do.
 
Anybody else experience problems playing or attempting to play Raven Shield? I either crash to the desktop, have the computer reboot on me, have the game lock up or even have it throw me back into the desktop with major errors. I am currently running an ATI 7200 Radeon vid card but I am not sure if getting a 9500 series Radeon will help me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
 
No problems whatsoever for the past 2 hours. Awesome game, especially the graphics. I was afraid my 8500LE wouldn't handle the 1920x1200 resolution, but it's doing it just fine... although i am in serious need of an upgrade.
