Just bought this game today through Steam(damn Steam is almost as bad as the iTunes store).

Decent so far, performs well on my system. Just wondering what other people think of it.

I got it today. pretty much exactly the same as the the first Vegas with a few slight changes.

1 - unlock weapons, armor, extras through an XP ranking system. i really hate this crap.
2 - some materials can be shot through now, like boxes or thin doors.

Maybe its just me but it seems like the enemies in SP seem to be able to sense you or something. in several sections, they would start shooting in my direction even though there was no possible way they could know i was there.

I'm not sure what the "enemies spawning" means? I haven't seen this yet. In the original, the terrorsit hunt mode was like that but in this one, it just seems like they all spawn at once and immediately know where you are and come straight for you. It's next to impossible to play this way. I don't get why they can't make it work like in the SP portion.

I liked the first one but not so sure i like this one as much because its basically the same exact game.

I never played the first one, so that's why his one drew me in. I don't normally like these "tactical" fps, but this isn't so bad. I don't mind the cover system as the game doesn't rely as heavily on it as GoW.

I have yet to notice enemies spawning as well. As far as I've seen what you see is what you get. It's disappointing that their bodies disappear but...

I was thinking about getting this game and since I've already played the 1st one and enjoyed it much but now I've changed my mind unless CC or BB has it for the cheap.

I had problems running it with Vista64 but works fine for me in XP. I'm enjoying it quite a bit! I played the first on Xbox360 and I very much prefer the PC controls. I'm having a blast rushing through the levels owning the AI. I have run into a few instances when the enemies will be shooting from behind walls at me and my team with no direct line of sight. You can see their gun barrels sticking through the walls firing. And the teammates are rather stupid, constantly getting caught up on barrels or traffic cones. But they're just there to soak up bullets for me. ;) I'm having fun with the game. Not sure if I'd recommend it, but it is fun.

Pretty much everything you said. Stealth is so inconsistent in this game and the enemy clairvoyance is annoying. Sometimes they don't react to a loud firefight in the room next to them, and sometimes they know exactly where you are at all times.

As for the spawning, it happens. I'm going through the game now and I was wondering where all the enemies were coming from. And then I saw a couple enemies popping out of thin air. Literally.

And the teammate AI is stupid. There should NEVER be an instance where teammates just stare at a blank wall. And yet this is quite common. Their reaction time is also painfully slow. There have been numerous times where my teammates have failed to point blank enemies that later ended up killing me.

i noticed my first spawn out of thin air tonight in the convention center.
i also noticed that one of my teammates got stuck on a sign, twice, and i had to walk around the opposite side for him to get free of it. I don't remember stuff like that in the first one.

I just got past the oil refinery place, and now I'm at some kind of ocean resort place. This game is really pissing me off now. I died so many times at the oil refinery place after shutting off the fire alarm because enemies just kept on popping out of thin air and all the enemy entrances are just so scripted. I'm at the point where I know I can trigger enemy spawning by inching my way forward. Move one step forward. 3 bad guys rappel out of no where.

There's this one part with a forklift that's carrying an explosive barrel. If you shoot it there's this huge explosion. Afterwards if you inch forward someone suddenly appears right behind the forklift. The only way for that person to not have died during the explosion is if they spawned out of midair.

It's like silencers don't mean a damn thing in this game. You can go through half of a level getting all head shots with no one uttering a peep and suddenly the scripting will send a bunch of guys storming your position for no good reason. Is this what I get for $50 nowadays? I've been aching for a good realistic tactical game but this is ridiculous.

I shudder imagining what the "realistic" difficulty setting would be like. How realistic can it be if everything's scripted, enemies spawn out of nowhere, enemies are clairvoyant, and you damage realistically?

I started playing the Terrorist Hunt modes. It's ALL spawning. Instead of walking around getting ambushed everywhere by terrorists, it's easier to just run around and shoot at random things with an unsupressed gun to trigger the enemies to spawn.
