Rail 0+1 help

Hello everyone

I've got a VERY old mirrored array setup on my server using a Fastrack 100 card from promise, (IDE based). I read in the manual that I should replace the dead hard drive with the exact make/model, but I'm having a hard time finding a WD600BB hard drive. It's a western digital IDE 60gig 7200rpm hard drive.

Can I get away with using a different size hard drive, maybe a 150gig or something and have the mirrored array rebuild itself? I mean, I understand I might only get 60gigs out of the 150gig drive, but that's fine, as long as I've got a working array. If not, can I use another IDE 60gig drive, just not the same make/model as the working one in the array? Thoughts?

Dan

bump? It's exactly how Nothinman says it, no way to tell for sure but try. Might be time for a little upgrade..
