I've watched the Rodney Reynolds review of this case, and I just wanted to know if it's a really good case (good airflow and such) I like how it looks, and I know that you have up to 5 fans in it. I also know that it has some nice features such as.... The side panels both fold down for easy access, five fans, a bracket on the side panel for a fan, tons of places for ventilation. Just wanted to get somebody with some real experience with the case to help me out.

I wont be putting anything too big into this case.

Items in the case:
E2180 (Zalman 9500 cooler) (Arctic Silver 5)
8800GT
Duorb (possibly)
ABIT Ip35-e
Enermax Whisper II 535w PSU
WD Caviar 320 GB
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB DDR2 800
2 Link Depot 80mm blue LED fans
Lite on IDE DVD-ROM drive

Think all this will be fine in that case?

I *think* Zipper has one...

Smilodons are cool, but from what I've seen (in stores) they really take a beating during transport!

Every one I've seen - the carton is in shreds - the case is dented, scratched, and banged up... maybe 'cause they weigh so much... I dunno...

Anyway, you might want to get yours at a local B&M, instead of online, so you can check out the condition before buying it! ;)

Yeah i've seen some reviews saying that Raidmax had pretty bad shipping tech. I would buy it from a local place if I could actually FIND one at a local store.

From my experiences with raidmax I'd say avoid them. The cases seem to be very cheap and looks are about all they offer.

Newegg has a large number of customer comments on the case - all variants seem to rate 5 eggs. Raidmax is known for flimsy packaging and flimsy cases but the Smilodon doesn't seem to suffer at the rate their other models do - at least from what I've read of the buyer feedback on Newegg. You could always buy from Directron who will double-box at an extra expense. May have to remove the side fan with the Zalman 9500 in there (it's 5" tall).
. I don't have one (too ricey for me) but I do think the Smilodon is based on one of the more clever chassis designs out there (not that similar hasn't been done before). I don't like the 80mm rear fan (the exhaust fan is key to overall cooling performance), but that can be overcome: http://i52.photobucket.com/alb...r0/fanOnWaveMaster.jpg - 80 to 120mm fan adapter on my Wave Master. I think I bought that adapter at jab-tech.com .

The Spire Pininfarina is basically the same chassis as the Smilodon in more conservative garb - hard to find anymore. Xoxide.com seems to be one of the few places that stock it and their shipping is ridiculous. $33.00 cheapest and I'm in upstate NY - not far from them at all.

If I don't get $50 rebate from raidmax this month then Raidmax sux! I am fine with my Ninja look much like Area-51 case.
