RaidMax Power Supply Question

I recently bought a new system with a Raidmax Scorpio case. It comes with a "Raidmax" 420W power supply. I'm not sure who the actual manufacturer is...Anyway, after seeing a couple PS's go up in smoke at work while doing some video card testing this week, I wonder if I should spend a couple extra bucks and get a decent PS to run my rig:

A64 3500+
1 GB OCZ
MSI neo Plat2
2 SATA (1 WD Raptor, 1 Seagate 7200RPM)
Albatron Geforce 6800 GT

You should ALWAYS get a decent PSU (Seasonic, Antec, Fortron/OCZ/PCP&C/Zippy). Raidmax products are of poor quality, and I definitely wouldn't trust that system to such a PSU.

Actually, I had (still have as a spare) a 400 watt Raidmax. It performed surprisingly well. Stable voltages, and took what I threw at it. I still have it as a backup PSU.

Like the others, I would recommend an Antec, PCP&C, Enermax... I bought that PSU in a bind. I also think I just got lucky with it.

I have a Raidmax case also that came with a 420W PSU but I replaced it with a Forton just to be safe, didn't want to take any chances. I sold the raidmax PSU to make up for some of the cost of the new PSU.

My nephew had a couple of Raidmax PSU's and they worked great! That is, until they blew up and took out an entire city block!!!!

But seriously, they took out two motherboards when they went. But they worked fine until then.
