now if the 49ers will just release smith...

Yeah seriously. I don't know if he still does but I do know that he had a house that he bought in Los Gatos (expensive area in the south bay) and had a knack for hooking up with younger women in the area.

the other owners in the league because they're tired of him during the draft into a circus with his horrible picks.

^ do you not understand nfl contracts? They cut him because he will be given a roster bonus and they have no use for him, if anything, the other teams would have loved to see the Raiders waste their money and keep him

How long until we hear about him filing for bankruptcy and that his money has been misappropriated by his manager and the rest of his entourage.

Considering how awful the management and coaching of that team has been for years, it's hard to fully put the blame for underperformance on solely a player the raiders draft and then trade/release. The one good thing that team does is ruin talent.

My guess based on their draft picks this year that he has most likely passed on and his last request was to be propped up and preserved in the head office and still treat him as the Manager. I'm envisioning it similar to Weekend At Bernies.

Agreed! Raider moves this year have been far too logical. :hmm:

do you think he has any chance of being picked up by another team? youd think he has at least a little potential, somewhere...

All he's ever really had is a big arm. That doesn't do much for you in the NFL if you can't read a defense or have any accuracy. Maybe someone can help him with that, but given his attitude I don't think he'll want to learn. Who knows though.

I think so, every huge bust has gotten a chance somewhere else. Ryan Leaf got another chance, Akili Smith, David Carr, even Tony Mandarich (sp?) got new chances elsewhere.
