RAID Setup Problem!

I have an Ashton Digital IDE RAID 66 using HighPoint 368 chipset (HPT-368). This chipset is on many RAID Motherboards.
Everytime I tried to set it up in MIRROR mode, the hard disk copying process froze.
I already replace it with a new one, but the problem is still there.
The specs indicate that it can support hdds up to 128GB, but I read it somewhere else, it said that 128BG is the TOTAL capacity.
I have 2 80GB seagate barracude IV (that would make it 160GB total)

Anyone has that problem? Please help me.

EDIT: Right now 2 HDDs appear in WinXP as 2 seperate drives.

When they refer to "total" capacity, they usually mean on one hard drive. Such as when referring to ata100 and someone wants to know if a drive can be partitioned so that the partitions are smaller than 137Gigs and the ide controller can pick it up? The answer is no, according to specs if you have ata100 then the "total" of the partitions have to be under 137Gigs. This also goes in hand with Raid controllers for ide, but I'm not positive on the overall total size that ata66 will recognize(that's what the controller will do on your Highpoint chip card right?). If they say in the documentation that it will support hds up to 128Gigs, then that means for "each" hard drive.. hehe and if they mean otherwise, then they have written a typo in the documentation.

When setting up your machine in mirror mode(Raid 1), the best idea is to start fresh from blank disks and install your apps or OS from scratch. I'm not sure how you set up your Raid Array, but that could be the problem there.

Mavrick007 -- Thank you very much for the info.

I already had my winXP system with one 80 Barracuda IV with about 20GB of stuff on it. I bought another Barracuda when it was on sale for $90 AR. Then I found a RAID 66 (highpoint 368 chipset) which I bought couple months ago and I wanted to set them up in MIRROR mode.

Everything went fine when I installed the card using win2k driver. In windows explorer, I could see both physical drive. But when I accessed BIOS setup and configured them in Mirror mode. The system just hung up.
