RAID QUESTION

I am currently in Raid 1. (Mirroring). 2 x 160gb.

I want to just go a single disc 1 x 320gb

How can I copy all my info ?

Do you just want to save the data or the windows install also?

Tell me about your hardware setup. Do you have an add in Raid Card or is it built in. If its built in how many standard IDE ports do you have?

Any info would really be helpful.

One more thing do you have any other hard drives that could hold all you data?

Plus why do you want to do this are you running out of room. Raid one sure is nice if you have a lot of data you don't want to lose.

yeah... you might want to also consider JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks)... It has the capacity of raid0 butit doesn't have the risks. Even if a drive fails only the info on that disk fails, there are to stripes. It fills one drive ad when that one is full it goes to the next and starts filling that.

I just installed my new 320gb as a extra drive
and copied whatever I had on the raid 1 drives.

Used Maxblast 4.0 to copy everything.

It's running great 🙂
