when looking at a mobo at newegg and it runs in raid 0/1/0+1/5, does this mean it runs in regular raid 5? or?

I'm not sure what you mean by "regular" RAID-5 but, yes, that MOBO will run RAID-5 configurations.

JUST SAY NO...to Mobo raid-5

if you want to do mobo raid, I'd stick to 0 or 1



raid-5 requires parity calculations, which will be handled by your CPU unless you have a RAID card with a hardware XOR processor doing it for you.
