Raid question

I'm planning on another round robin upgrade... 4 systems in the house.

I put an Asus A7N8X dlx revision 2 motherboard in wife's system, set up RAID 1 for her (she has work critical VPN access/files etc on her home PC)

Came across a refurb A7N8X Dlx from Newegg, but it's a revision 1.

Can I swap out her RAID 1 system safely onto the rev 1 motherboard so I can tinker with the newer motherboard?

Nope.

Once you establish a raid array, it is pretty much married to the hardware.

Best thing to do is back up the data, break the volume, swap out boards, load the software, drivers etc. Establish the raid array, reload data on array from back up.
