Ok, got the raid going (for those that remember and are curious I went with an IDE raid and drives that were the same as our old drives).

Cloned the current boot drive (C:) to the Raid (G:) then found out I could not swap the drive letters in win 2k server because the "system" drive is not changeable DOH. Now since all those little start up routines (TSRs etc) are looking for the C: drive so even though the system boots fine off of the RAID you have to have the old "C:" drive still in the system so that those start up thingies work right. If I disconnect the old drive (remember still currently the c: drive) then those start up thingies hang win 2k and it never gets past the login screen (aparently it hangs as programs start up and start looking for the now non-existant C: drive).

So how do I go about getting out of this loop. The end goal is to be migrated to the RAID with it being labled as the C: drive!

Got any ideas?

Thanks!

And Ill note that I should have started there! LOL

I did try that with windows help (simply said NO heheh)

Ill trade you for your help. Just a little advice and a clue as to how my morning went...

I told everyone I would have the system down except the CEO, somehow he snuck in one of the times I was in trying to change something and started to print payroll, just in time for me to shut the network down.....

When you tell "everyone" the network will be down, that should include the CEO..... :) aiiiiighhh.....
