RAID Controllers

I have a Gigabyte GA-P45 UD3P, instead of using the onboard controller, I can pick up a 3ware 8006-2LP fairly cheaply to run my 2 Raptors RAID O on.

Anyone have experience, good, bad or indifferent with this controller?

I know 3Ware makes quality stuff, i'm just not familiar with this particular controller.

Good call. I wouldn't run nor trust my data to that on board cheap stuff. I use Areca but yoru 3ware should run without a hitch. You running vista? might check for driver support then.
