I just installed a new raid controller with 2 drives in a raid 1 config.

Is there any way to check and see that they are infact mirroring? When I look in "My Computer" they appear as one drive. But is there anyway to verify that the same files are on BOTH?

Thanks.

That's assuming you have that Raid board.

Specifically, I would like to see the files firsthand. The raid manager is already telling me it's working, but seeing is beleiving.

Thanks.

To check your RAID 1 configuration, do what reviewers do...
Simply unplug the power from one of the drives!

No, only one at a time. :p

That's what I meant - do one, and then do the other. Two separate looks. This actuall gets checked by True Image when I clone/backup the RAID 1 array to another external drive. If the array is not right, it won't clone.

Yeah, I guess I should have thought of that, sorry for the repost. I found the other topic.

Thanks!
