I have installed many RAID zero arrays from scratch and also a RAID 1 array from scratch so am knowledgeable on how to to this. However, if I currently have a SATA drive in a nVidia nForce motherboard and want to add a second drive in a RAID 1 format to have completely redundant backup, is it as simple as performing this from the motherboard BIOS RAID utilities and duping the existing drive? If that would work than I can give the gentleman a completely secure and simple method of backup. I haven't tried it yet as I am a bit leery of messing with his existing drive until I am absolutely certain I can do this safely first. Thanks for any help.
