Raid 0 SSD - Cannot install Windows 7

I'm in desperate need of help. I've been researching and wrestling with this issue for 3 days.

I have
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H mobo
2 - Plextor M3 Pro Series PX-256M3P SSDs

The SSDs are configured in Raid 0 and Windows 7 was running on them fine. I decided to try Windows 8 and after several days, I decided that Windows 8 wasn't for me so I tried to switch back to Windows 7.

I went through install, removed partitions, started from scratch. I load the Marvell drivers, the Drives are detected as one drive but Windows 7 will not install. I get the "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. (show details)" message. I've tried multiple things but I'm unsuccessful in installing Windows 7.

Any advice on this? I'm at a total loss...
 
try setting your bios to just the ahci mode, boot a win7 disc, and when you get to the disk screen, hit SHIFT+F10, to bring up a command prompt, type DISKPART (enter)

then LIST DISK

find each of your (non-raided, at this point) SSDs

type SELECT DISK # (where # is the number of your disk)

type LIST DISK again, to verify the correct disk is selected,

then type CLEAN

it will wipe the first + last million sectors or so of the disk is question

after wiping both disks, reboot, re-configure disks in RAID mode in BIOS, and give the Win8 install another shot.
 
DO NOT PLUG ANYTHING INTO YOUR USB3.0 PORTS.

i have no idea why but sometimes when u do have something inside a USB3.0 port, u will get that message as it has conflicts with your I/O ports.

If that isnt your problem, then you should go into RAID utilities as you boot up, wipe the array, break it down, and then rebuild it new, and then try to reinstall.
 
Why are you using the Marvell drivers, or your external Sata III connectors for your OS?

Install your SSD's in the native Intel Sata III slots and there is no need to install a RAID driver when you install your OS...only after you install the OS to change from the MSAHCI driver to the Intel Rapid Storage RAID driver.
 
If you are trying to install on a GPT partition then you need to boot the Windows install disc from UEFI mode.
 
Why are you using marvel drivers? They have a track record of all sorts of incompatibilities. Why not try the same thing with the intel ports and intel raid setup and see what happens?
