There is a message up on abit's site telling to backup all drives before usind new bios. Well when I updated the bios it wasn't there, and after using it for a week suddenly my raid 0 array disappeared. I was able to create a new raid arry and used fdisk /mbr to get back my c drive, but ended up scratching that and just doing a complete fresh install. Why did it happen after a week of more? Anyone else have this problem?

I had freaky things happen with the latest Abit bios flash on my SA6R.. lost USB and PS2 controllers after a short while.. they were there in device manager but couldnt get them to work at all. I ended up flashing back to the previous bios and all was well. I thing there is a problem with Abits latest bios at least for my board.

Just after I loaded everything back after creating the raid again its gone again. I can recreate the array and run fdisk /mbr and my c partition will return as an 8 gig drive with the partition table screwed up. Windows sees it as a 20 gig hd as it should but fdisk sees it as an 8 gig. Partition magiv won't work saying partitions overlap. Is mb bad?

Possibly. But my raid 0 is gone for the third time in 3 days. Hd are recognised but not the raid. Which means no data. I can recover the c drive and all data is there but the fat table is still corrupt. Going back to zt bios and 103 drivers. Same hd's worked for 6 months on soyo 6ba+100 with no problem. Going for my 4 fdisk repartiton and reinstall.

Think I found it. If you use hdtach with advanced size check enabled it hoses your raid. I could bite the bullet and check it out and see if its safe to go back to 3c bios. I will lose the raid when I upgrade anyway. Have to think about that one. Anywho hope someone else is helped.
