Raid 0 and win2k

Im interested in running a 2 drive raid system sometime in the future.
Someone told me that with my onboard ata100 controller, I can strip 2 umda HDD with windows2k using just the onboard IDE controller.
Is this true? Can I use all my components onboard?
Or is it going to require a RAID card or SCSI drives?
Someone clarify this for me?
Thanks

win2000 professional has the ability to Stripe disks in either RAID 0, 1, or 0/1. win2k server can do RAID 5. You do not need a RAID card (ide or SCSI) cause win2k can do a software stripe. just go to Computer Management and then Disk Management. then choose which drives you want to software RAID.
