Rage3D Tweak

I have just downloaded the Tweak utility from Rage3d.com. Is this utility any good? Also I have a Radeon 64Mb DDR VIVO graphics card and in the Overclocking tab on the control panel it says my graphics cards core is running at 182mhz and my memory is at 182mhz. Is this right? One last question if I overclock my graphics card to a core speed of 245.25mhz and my memory to 236.25mhz will my card overheat?

Thanks for any info.

that is a little high for the core and memory I would think. But if u arn't getting any artifacting or slices it is probably fine. Rage 3D tweak is about as good as you can get for a radeon card I belive.

Yes.
Yes.
Yes. Where the heck did you come up with those overclocking speed? Don't go from 182 to 245 in one shot.

That speed is the maximum the slider will go up to. I will gradually increase the clock speed. Also how do I know what temp my graphics card is running at?

P.S. Will I notice a speed increasement playing games?

There's no guarantee that you card can hit those numbers. But yes, it will produce more heat.

The maximum for the slider is ussually alot more than the card can actaully do. You should notice some improvment in games nothing remarkable though. There is no way of testing the chips temerature. As long as u test the card each time u bump the card up with either a benchmarking program or a game and see that there is no visual defects you should be okay.
