Rage fury pro, Radeon SDR, or G450?

How you(anybody has experience) compare the 2D quality of Radeon to old Ati cards like Rage fury pro, or to Matrox-g400, g450?
I really want to use Radeon VE(?), the next coming radeon card, but I'm building a system now, and I have to put a card on it. I'm considering G450, Rage fury pro, or Radeon SDR(DDR doesn't have tv out option). Any recommendation for good 2D and DVD playback?

ati is just below matrox in image quality
all of those cards have great dvd playback/2d but if you're going for games as well, go for radeon

Definitely the Radeon. I had the Fury and there is simply no comparison between the two.

I just got a Radeon 64DDR and it has VIVO (Video In, Video Out) capabilities.

Ypu can always get an external scan converter. That will give ANY video card TV-out capabilities.

I would just pay invest a little more and get the AIW Radeon or the 64 MB if you really want Video in and/or Video out abilities.

I would go with the Radeon, I had a g400 and the radeon 2d is just as good as far as I'm concerned, but I am not doing any critical 2d work.
