since they keep comparing it to GeForce 3 Ti 500, is it going to be priced at $400 also?
if so, i will be forced to buy a Ge3 Ti 200. i dont see myself spending $400 for just a graphics card.

Actually, you can find the Ti 500 for just over $300 now. The 8500 seems to be somewhere in the $250-275 range. And the Ti200 can be found for $173 now. Looks like Nvidia is starting to finally get aggressive with the pricing. I'd like to see cards get down around more like $200, at the most.

A lot of people went through Dell Home Office and got it for $203, no tax, free shipping.
When the 20% off Home expired, then people went through Samll Business.

I think nvidia still has a lot on its hands now with radeon 8500, we need more benchmarks - though the ones that have popped up aren't as "surprising" as people are saying - it is head to head with geforce3 TI.

online companies can sell products cheaper and usually do.

so when i said the Radeon 8500 was $299 and the Geforce 3 ti 50 was $350 i was RIGHT

but that doesnt mean u cant find them for Cheaper

You can find a Radeon 8500 for $250

and u can find the GEforce 3 ti 500 for around the $315

ATI and NVIDIA priced these things at those prices and online stores just lowered them so they can esll lots of them in large quanities. Since places like best buy know they wont sell large quanities (per store) they sell it for the normal price
