The 3765 is similar to the 3635 model. It should work without a problem since both models share the same types of accessories.
I found them for $69.99 both laptop and PDA. The sign was on both versions. When he rang it up, it came up $99.99 which he adjusted. This was in southeastern PA outside Philly. YMMV.

I used this GPS / Delorme software on a 2300 mile roadtrip over christmas break, the thing is a big POS, maybe not the GPS receiver itself, but the Delorme software. Used mainly in Nevada and California. The software would count a curve in the road as a turn, like it would be like turn right in 2 mins..etc. Like if you are on the same road for like 200 miles, it would prompt your like 15-20 times to turn, when in reality all you are doing is staying on the same highway. I would basically get sick of it, and just turn off the laptop, and turn it back on when i am near a "real" turn. The Delorme UI is nothing to be proud of either, it just sux. The GPS uses AAA batteries, and probably lasts about 15-20 hours is my best guess, which is pretty good, you can also get a DC adapter, but I was running out of places to plug in my car. For the price the GPS receiver is fine, but definately get better software than Delorme, I am just going to return my kit this weekend, have no need for it.
Do you have any recommendations? Honestly, I've already got a GPS antenna laying around, but it's a few years old and the software was very buggy and slow. I was considering ponying up $400 for Co-Pilot, but I figured I'd take that $330 risk....
no, it is infact a RJ-11 connector.. The specs call for 6 lines, but to save money a lot of phones come with only 4. Go to walmart or something and buy a new phone cable, it should have 6. (I bought a 7' black cord, and it had 6)
I am not sure, I have only tried the Delorme software that comes with the kit. I also used MS streets & maps, but I dont think it did the whole voice turn-by-turn directions, but the directions on MS weren't all that great either (at least in Nevada & California)...like it would say turn left on "local road"...I am looking over it thinking wtf? I am guessing the west is probably not as well mapped? The best GPS solutions I have seen are built in the car in Lexus & Acura, but of course they are $$$ and not an option to just add in your current car. I read a pretty good review of Co-Pilot, but have never used it, so I can't help you there.
I used the software on a trip from the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, to Canada and it was awesome. I don't recall having problems with the "too many turns" like this person mentions. The software was very helpful in mapping out each day of the trip along with finding hotels to stay at and restaurants to eat at. The user interface could be a little easier to use (my only complaint), but otherwise this software is fantastic, especially for such a low price.
I've also used the software around the SF Bay Area and on many trips to various locations in and around Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. All directions worked beautifully!
I looked at 3 Radioshacks here in St. Louis and first two all have $99.99 both listed and in computer. Last one had a couple with a special red sales tag of $69.99 on them - valid Dec. 28-Feb.2. Even the computer rings up $69.99. So I bought it to work with my iPaq. Also got a 6VDC car adapter for like 13-14 bucks.

I haven't figured out how to zoom in/out on my iPaq yet, for example. Also, the GPS startup time is quite long - I waited like 30 minutes driving in my car to work but it still says "GPS acquiring". Not sure if the unit is defective or not and will give it another try on the way home. Also, the suction cup and bracket for attaching to windshield is nice but doesn't hold the GPS well. Couple of bumps in the car and the GPS fell off! Oh well..

I bought one of these for $69 and I went to another store and saw that they were $99 and the sales guy said that they are not, and have not been on sale. I did notice that the packaging was quite different between the two. The one that I got for $69 had larger packaging and round, the $99 was smaller and more angular. I am not sure it this means anything, but maybe they are different versions. Both were PDA units, but I neglected to get the catalog #'s to compare, but I think that they are different.
Yes, but did you check the prices for those cables? Too much for me to spend on something that I can build myself.
