Radioshack and radar detectors- wackiness

I just had the weirdest thing happen to me at radioshack today.. I picked up a radar detector from today at one branch and returned it to another (found a good deal on a better unit during the day). At the 2nd store the rep said "Oh, they sold you THIS...They shouldn't have sold this to you..." He paused, called the other branch to see why they sold it to me and then, a few moment later, another salesperson walked by and looked at the box and said "OH, I know why you're calling them!".. Something sinister was up but they refused to tell me what was going on.. Anyone have any idea?

BTW I live in Queens, NYC..

Thought Radio Shack only sold gotcha-detectors............radar dectectors with such little range that by the time they go off, it's GOTCHA.........

When I worked at Radio Shack, the radio detectors we sold were rebadged major brand names. And for awhile we sold some major brand names but I forget which. But if you go to RS looking for something like the Valentine One, you are an idiot anyway 😉
