I've never heard this song before today, I never watch or listen to commercials though.

That song was used by one of the sororities in my daughter's Greek Sync in the Fall of 2012. It's been around for some time now.

Radioactive by imagine dragons is my favorite song! The chick in that video is hot. Nice eyes!

Here's a couple other songs that have been in commercials.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgvK78jHUnA <--- Used on the Discovery Channel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP50Ewh31E4 <--- Used in a Microsoft commercial

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioRU8ZgGj1U <--- Used in a car commercial, but I can't remember what car

I'm a commercial guru. I tried joining a forum that talked about commercials, but they never sent me an E-mail reply. One of the most annoying commercials I have ever see was Ink by Chase. I see actors move from one commercial to the next.

First time I heard it was during a Hard Knocks episode last summer on HBO. Dug the song. It must have a pretty low usage fee, since it's used so much. I've seen it used to promote at least two new shows on TV too (one being Golden Boy, the other being some new show this fall).

Agree with everyone though, it's very overplayed at this point.

Sounds like Coldplay trying to edgy only with crappier lyrics. :|

"Radioactive"

Whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa

I'm waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust
I'm breathing in the chemicals

I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive

I raise my flags, don my clothes
It's a revolution, I suppose
We're painted red to fit right in
Whoa

I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive

All systems go, the sun hasn't died
Deep in my bones, straight from inside

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive

Off hand I also know its been used for Graceland and Vikings, also a mash-up commercial for History.
