Forget the rap, does the song title really have 'Gurls' in it? WTF was wrong with using 'Girls'?

Oh, give me a break. You're honestly saying that Katy Perry is hard to understand on the song, and Snoop is not. Come on dude. I'll concede that Snoop uses the word "ass" once but just admit that over all you don't like it because of the hip hop "black" sound in general.
But don't feed us a bunch of bull that your girls don't understand what Katy Perry is saying - when she's speaking plain, easy to understand white girl English.

No. It is the lyrics in the Snoop portion. We have plenty of other songs on our iPods with rap in them. The lyrics in those songs are not over the line and the kids enjoy the songs, so we keep them.

Just to point out how little you know about what you are talking about, it is one boy and one girl.
In any event, yes, they do not understand many of the sung words. (Do you have kids?) I hear the kids sing along and, since some of the offensive words are not in their vocabulary, they either insert incorrect words or say nonsense words (They have heard the song many times on the radio). The rap words they got on the first try, which is why it was immediately removed from the iPods (I did not know the Snoop version when I bought it in iTunes).
Oh, and I suppose you find this appropriate for your girls...

You're looking for the radio edit and it's probably not being distributed for sale. There is a version of this on youtube however which you could blah blah to blah on your music player.

Somewhat related note...
I have a 7 and 9 year old and sometime when we/they are listening to music (or even watching some TV shows) I cringe at what is being said in the lyrics and words. I stop and think though that lots of what was said/heard in songs when I was growing up in the 70s/80s was just as bad though, and I just didn't get the innuendos and even a lot of the blatant stuff. Just listen to some classic arena rock songs. Ballads from back then. Hell even Neil Diamond gets saucy once in a while!
There was no harm, no foul, and I grew up OK for the most part. It's hard as a parent though to ignore that stuff though, so I do empathize with the OP quite a bit. I think the concern is that kids nowadays AREN'T ignorant to some of the innuendos and CAN pick them up (maybe not catching the FULL meaning, but at least knowing they are "naughty").

i have a six year old and an eight year old, and both know the lyrics to most of the songs on my ipod that i shouldn't be letting them listen to. those words you think aren't in their vocabulary? they'll be busting them out next time they are at grandma's house or the grocery store.

A: The "rap" version (lol) IS the radio version everywhere I've heard of.
B: The "rap" part (lol) is actually the tamest part of the song.
C: Your entire premise is a unique hybrid of facepalm and rolleyes (even though it's physically impossible). Congrats.
