Radio Noise When Rear Defrost Is On?

I used my son's car today, and found the radio is useless with the rear defrost on. Guess I missed that after installing the radio last year. Of course, the antenna is in the rear window, so this noise isn't too surprising, but I must have left a filter off somewhere. Otherwise, this would be a really common problem... or is it?

What source did you tap the 12v lead to from the radio?

Used the exact harness as the factory unit via adapter.

I'm searching for info online, but finding VERY little! I'm very surprised this isn't more common. Just my luck I guess...

I've done a few installs in my life both w/ and w/ out the adapters and I've never seen this issue either

FM is the only thing I tried. It was basically just a straight swap. Replaced the orginal radio with an AIWA MP3 unit about 4 years ago. That was stolen last year, without hurting any wiring, and replaced with a Pioneer DEHP4600MP.

Hmmm, I'll have to play with it more tomorrow.

Hope you find a solution. Mine does it with a factory install. As soon as I hit the defrost, all but one or two stations becomes useless.
