Alright, if you're reading this, you've decided to help me or I've tricked you.
Either way, I would appreciate the expert advice that AT members give on my build. The build is VERY similar to most other C2D builds but if it works, it works.

Uses: Moderate Gaming, School (College in a year), Programming (beginner stuff)
Overclocking: NOPE
Budget: around $1500 but hoping to spend slightly less
Upgradability: I want it to be somewhat upgradeable and Quad core compatible even though I'm not getting a quad core right now

PARTS:
PSU: Corsair 520HX (already purchased)

Case:
Antec P182 (open to other suggestions but I need it to be silent and out-of-the-box cooling)

Motherboard:
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R (open to other suggestions)

CPU: C2D E6750

HSF: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (I'm open to other suggestions, I just need it to cool better than the stock HSF and to be silent)

Thermal Paste: Arctic Silver 5 (already bought)

Memory: 2GB (2x1GB) of HP RAM (already bought)

GPU: EVGA 8800GTS 320MB

HDD:
Seagate 7200.10 SATA 3.0 250GB

Monitor: Westinghouse 22" widescreen lcd (already own)

OS: XP Pro (already have it)

Total money spent would be around 1250 which is fine if those parts are good.

Any help is appreciated!!

Thanks for your input!

EDIT: added thermal paste to the list

Looking good! Just a couple of minor things, 1. newegg rips you off with Freezer 7 Pro for some reason, buy one here instead. 2. Please consider using quality thermal paste, it's cheap but it makes a noticable difference in temperatures. Clicky

Good luck!

I've already got Arctic Silver 5, which I heard is really good.

"post count"? Who cares about post count?
You tend to rack up some posts after being a member for 8 years.
