radiator on the fritz!!!

anyone have an experience with repairing radiators? It's one of these things

I turned the valve off, so it's not shooting out anymore, but valve off=no heat=cold. There's a hole on the side, and it looks like there used to be something there, but it got broken off or something.

Anyone got an idea? Is keeping the valve off dangerous (maybe pressure buildup?)

Having the valve closed is not dangerous, that's why there's a valve there.

Stick a plug in it or something. Or blutak - I repaired a turbocharder with blutak once and it worked for a good half hour.

if it were me i'd drain it and try and braze it, but i'm stubborn and refuse to pay people to fvck up things i can fvck up myself.
